SPORTS COACHING
Many young people have shown an interest in organising sports and activities for others or even providing coaching. It may be that you are interested in giving something back to sport or even developing your experience as a volunteer prior to going to university. The Active Young People department can help by providing you with the information you need and possibly linking you up with the right training course.

Leadership training is run throughout the year by the team but we can also identify special coaching courses in football, rugby or netball for example. These are run by other organisations.

There are regular opportunities for volunteers to support after school sports and activities. Sometimes we are able to support the costs of your training courses. Recently there has been an increase in the costs of coach education courses with the introduction of what is called UKCC qualifications. We would be happy to discuss your plans
